The Open-Source Intelligence Laboratory (OSIL) at Mississippi State University aims to combine rigorous
research methods with open-source intelligence (OSINT) data gathering to increase the capabilities and
effectiveness of practitioners in the national security community. Our unique partnerships with OSINT
resources bolster our ability to create a multidisciplinary approach to OSINT use cases.
OSIL also serves as an objective, institutional resource for policy, legal, ethical, and practical
questions regarding OSINT, and provides tailored training on our innovative strategies for practitioners
within the field. OSIL develops proprietary OSINT analysis tools for use by academic collaborators and
funders. If you would like to collaborate with us on a project, feel free to
contact us.
